Prevention
While Acne is generally caused
by Bacteria, there are a few prevention methods that can be
used to subdue acne’s effects.
Avoid constant leaning, or
rubbing on your skin. Also avoid ‘smooshing’ your face
into your pillow that you sleep, and try to keep fresh clean
bed sheets (if you
sleep without a shirt).
Pressure from bike
helmets, backpacks, tight collars (business suits) will also
cause constant friction and can irritate your Acne.
Squeezing and picking of
your blemishes can cause them to get inflamed or even spread
more bacteria from your fingers onto your skin.
Finally, hard scrubbing of the
skin while washing your face. Avoid using a wash cloth, and
gently cleanse your skin by using a gentle cleanser followed
by a non- comedogenic moisturizer.
